SLJ (Week 4 Day 3 Activties)

Predator Free 2050 – A Call to Arms
On your blog, tell us which one of the videos you liked the best and why..
I liked the Cacophony Project because it's trying to lower our predator rates and save more native animals and birds! Which I think is pretty good for New Zealand.

Protecting the Most Vulnerable - Fact or Fiction? On your blog, post three facts that you learned about the Māui Dolphin. Then, using your imagination, create three more statements about Māui dolphins that are not true (i.e. false). Please don’t tell us which of your statements about Māui Dolphins are true and which are false. It will be the job of the students and staff who read your blog to figure it out.
1. Maui Dolphin Grown up to 20 years
2. There are only 63 left in New Zealand
3. There are on the verge of Extinction
4.they look like hector dolphins
5. They are very rare to see
6. Females are bigger the Males
The Power of TenLet’s imagine that you had the same power and that you could save 10 species (animals or plants) from extinction. Who would you save? If I had the choice I would probably save animals like the elephant, white tiger and rhinoceros because they are unique and have lived for centuries on earth. I would also like to save some of my favourite flowers including hydrangeas and calla lily flowers. What about you?

Bird of the Year!
On your blog, write a short description of your bird. Where does your bird normally live? What does your bird normally eat? Post a picture of the bird underneath your description. Be sure to attribute your picture properly.
So I really like the bird I have chosen I think all breeds of them are really cool! I choose the Barn Owl. Where do these birds like to live? Well the live in quite a few different places like Barns lofts, drive in movie screens, nest in holes in tree's cliff sides and so much more. What do they like to eat for dinner? The love mice, rats Lemmings and any other kind of pest or rodent.  I found this photo here ---------> Link!

SLJ (Week 1, Day 3 Act.1) Fantastic Beasts

Fantastic Beasts
So for this activity we had to create
our own beast with a description
pretty straight forward really!
Here's mine...
This is called a winged wolf
In the world of beasts it is very rare and a friendly but if you pat them without the sniffing you first and become very vicious. If you get one young and grow up with the Wolf it will become very friendly with you sorta like a pet dog!
