SLJ (Week 1, Day 3 Act.3) The WWF: World Wildlife Fund

The WWF: World Wildlife Fund
Clip #2: Tiger
It's hard to explain so here's what we have to do:
Once you have watched the video, go to your blog and, using full sentences, tell us:
1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.
2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal.
3) What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal.
1. The WWF a try to save the Saimaa ringed seal because it is one of the most endangered seal in the world.
2. They are digging snowbanks for them so they can have there babies during snow storms
3. There successes they have had is more beautiful baby seals.

  1. Hi Rikki-Lee

Well done with this activity. The WWF does a fantastic job with all kinds of animals around the world. Isn't it amazing that something as simple as building snow banks can have such a huge impact on the survival of the species.
It is great that there are so many caring people out there that want to help all the animals in need.
I was in Kaikoura a couple of weeks ago and we stopped on the coast to see all the seals. There were so many there, all sizes from tiny baby pups to great big grumpy ones. It would be good if the numbers of the freshwater seals could be as big as its cousin that we have here in New Zealand.

Keep up the great work Rikki. I hope the holidays are going well and you are doing something fun.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
