SLJ (Week 4 Day 5 Activities)

Environment Day - Beat Plastic Pollution
On your blog tell us three things that you could do to help save the planet.
1. Me and my family we don't use plastic bags ever anymore we use reusable ones.
2. We use a compost bin instead of just throwing out.
3. We have pigs and Chickens to help get rid of scraps.
Adoption DayOn your blog, list the three animals that you have chosen and then compare and contrast them. How are they similar? How are they different? At the bottom of you post, tell us which of the three animals you would most like to adopt..
White Tiger - Tiger Same They are both same breed of cat but different colors and different habbitats
Tiger - Tiger Same They are both same breed of cat but different colors and different habbitats
Otter - They have sharp teeth like both of these animals!
I would like to adopt a White tiger!
Concluding the Journey
What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I leanrned how many animals are actually endangered
What is one thing that surprised you? That I managed to finish all activities!
What is one thing that concerned or upset you? Nothing it's been Great!

Predator Free 2050 – A Call to Arms
On your blog, tell us which one of the videos you liked the best and why..
I liked the Cacophony Project because it's trying to lower our predator rates and save more native animals and birds! Which I think is pretty good for New Zealand.

Protecting the Most Vulnerable - Fact or Fiction? On your blog, post three facts that you learned about the Māui Dolphin. Then, using your imagination, create three more statements about Māui dolphins that are not true (i.e. false). Please don’t tell us which of your statements about Māui Dolphins are true and which are false. It will be the job of the students and staff who read your blog to figure it out.

The Power of TenLet’s imagine that you had the same power and that you could save 10 species (animals or plants) from extinction. Who would you save? If I had the choice I would probably save animals like the elephant, white tiger and rhinoceros because they are unique and have lived for centuries on earth. I would also like to save some of my favourite flowers including hydrangeas and calla lily flowers. What about you?

Off the Menu

I think this rule is not fair I mean having to pay $100,000 for doing a tiny bit of over fishing! Maybe make a warning for the first time you over fish 2nd time a 4 day suspension and last time $150 fine not 100,000!  Photo from SLJ Page.

The place is incredible I must get a photo I'm so happy I decided to come to Italy the water is beautiful and clear the sky blue and suns hot time for a selfie so I never forget the gorgeous views and the beautiful city I know I'll take it up here better be careful I don't want to fall on holiday! OOOOOOOMMMMGGGG I just love it here I never want to leave........

Weaving a Tall Tale…

Someone I know who is strong and tough is my cousin Vanessa! She has been through so much but always has a smile on here face shes incredible after being hit by car when shes was 4 she is the strongest kid if have ever met!

The two plants I choose that I found Strange were the Baseball Plant and the White BaneBerry!
Similarities
1. They are both Toxic. The berries on the BaneBerry. The Whole plant on the Baseball Plant.
2. They Both have special names for them!
Differences
1. The Baseball plant is found South Africa and the BaneBerry is found in North America.
2. The BaneBerry is found on a red stem and the BaseBall plant is found in the grounds
3.The baseball plant is very rare!

At the moment its hard to go swimming because of my broken foot but I hope to go swimming again once it's healed! What's your favourite Summer Activity?

Well these people are quite special I would choose
1. My Mum because she is always very supportive and pushes me to do my best and keep going no matter what!

3. My BFF Katelynn because no matter what she will always be there beside me to support and help me!
