What's in a name
Read through the lists. Are these popular names in your school? On your blog, tell us which names are currently popular in your school. Please provide, at least, three girls’ names and three boys’ names that are popular.
Well we do have a lot of kids and Grey Main so we have a lot of names so here that seem to be quite popular.

  1. Kia ora Rikki-Lee,

Thanks for sharing these common names. It's interesting because I only know of one Katelyn and one Ella. I don't know anyone called Mackenzie! It is a very cool name though.

When I was intermediate it was rather funny because my own name was really popular! Although my name is spelt 'Emiely', it's pronounced 'Emily'. In year 7, there were THREE Emily's in my class (including myself). You can imagine how confusing it got! Someone would say "Emily" and I'd turn around only to realise they were talking to one of the other Emily's haha!

Rikki-Lee is quite a unique name. Is there a meaning behind your name as to why your parents called you 'Rikki-Lee'?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)

    1. Kia ora Rikki,

I understand the struggles of the Mackenzie's! Do they have different nicknames or do people call them both Mackenzie?

It's a beautiful name, Rikki. I think it's nice having a unique name. For example, I really like having my name spelt differently. It makes you pretty special, doesn't it? :)

      Noho ora mai,

      Emiely :)
