The Dance I choose Merengue. Who created the Merengue someone called Rafael Trujillo from Dominican Republic which is were the dance came from. Some interesting facts about the dance 1.The Merengue is the national dance of the Dominican Republic. 2.There are two popular versions of the of the origin of the Dominican national dance, the Merengue.3.It was created in  1930.

    You have chosen a dance that I don't know very much about so thank you it is great to read about something new.
    I really like the big costume skirt that the lady is wearing in your photo. It makes this dance seem so dramatic!
    It certainly looks so South American and just what you would expect if you were to visit the country of Dominican Republic.
    It's amazing that some of these dances have actually been around for such a long time and people have been doing this dance since 1930. Wow!

    What would our national dance be in New Zealand ?
