Even though Paris is the most romantic city in the world doesn't mean that danger doesn't strike! On Friday the 13th 2015, bombs were set off. New Zealand celebrates Guy Fawkes

New Zealand collectively celebrated Guy Fawkes last night with Police and the Fire Service dealing with dozens of calls across the country. Three people were injured by fireworks – two of them seriously. Firefighters responded to more than twice the number of fireworks call-outs than last year in what they say was a very disappointing night.

Guy Fawkes occurs on the 5th November each year.

Fireworks are only allowed to be purchased by those over  18 and stores can only sell them for four days.

Halloween story

I walked up a creepy stair case. I have no idea where I am. I'm cold, confused but mostly scared. I finally reached the top of the stair case and there was a big wooden door. I opened the door and walked through it. I looked around. Hello,is anyone there? There was  no answer . Then whoosh a shadow ran past an old looking  suit of armour.  Is anyone  there? Whoosh I looked around once again. No one was there. What is going on?                    I ran to another stair case and sat there. I had a bag on my back  I grabbed an apple and took a bite of it then put it back in the bag for later. I walked up a few steps but walked back down again . The I heard a hoot.    It was an owl . I kept walking around then I found a door. I opened it .  I yelled HELP!!!!!!                                                                                                                 I woke up in a cage.    I felt dizzy.    There was a man standing at a controller thing.  There was a button that said PLAN  B.   He turned around and said, "  Good, you're awake"'  I  have  got you now.  I'm your mum and dads worst enemy. '                                   I yelled help me someone. I looked out a window it was a full moon. the wolves must be out. They're always out when its a full moon.                                                                                               I said in my head I can howl to get them to come here. When I was little, like 3, I was playing with my friends.  Then they went home.  I was walking home and the wolf took me to a cave and I have been there ever since. They're  like parents to me.
 I howled. Then the wolves started whacking the door with their tails. The door broke and their tails poked through a little hole in the door then the hole got bigger and bigger. They started jumping through one by one then they started ripping the mans pants. Then they got under him and tripped him.  They put him on his back and took him outside. Then  we put him in the moat at the castle.                                                                                      . 
We walked away. We went back to the cave and looked at the moon.

Christmas in the Netherlands

The most important day is in December the 5th that's the night that Saint Nickolas brings their presents.

Sinterklaas has helpers called Zwarte Pieten  (Black peters)
and the children are told that these helpers keep a record of every good and bad thing they have done over the year. So, if they have been very well behaved they might expect to get lots of presents.
If they are very bad the Black peters will put them in a sack and take them away for a year to Spain where they believe St Nicholas lives. From there he visits Holland every year on December the 5th .
Children believe that he rides a horse on the roofs of houses and that Black peters climb down the chimney and deliver gifts.

Many people have parties on December the 5th where they share special food and play games 
Christmas day is usually a quiet family day with church and family meal.

I don't think the New Zealand flag should be changed, think of all that money wasted. Why didn't the government use it on Cancer  or something it is just ridiculous and children should be able to vote. The NZ flag should not be CHANGED AT ALL!!!!

Myth or legend

Prince Philip--- Man belong Mrs Queen

On a island of Tanna in Vanuatu there is a small village called Yaohnanen. These people and only these people of this village believe that of hundreds of years ago the son of a mountain spirit left Vanuatu to wonder the world and search for a powerful famous woman. They believe that a descendent of the spirit is the Duke of Edinburgh, prince Philip who married Princess Elizabeth of England .She became Queen Elizabeth the second when her father died.

The villagers celebrate prince Philip day every year on February 16th and they are preparing great celebrations for 2016 when they believe prince Philip will come to Tanna to live with them.
