Week 3 ( Rock N Roll) Activity 4

Rock 'N Roll
Read about their tour of New Zealand below, and then post three interesting facts about The Beatles Tour on your blog.
As the Beatles stepped off the plane the screams of fans drowned out the engines. Te Pataka concert party performed a haka, before doing a hongi giving the band members a tiki.
Fans followed back to The Beatles hotel after the concert. The band was stuck inside as crowds gathered outside. Some kept up a late-night lookout on the hill behind the hotel.
Away from all the fans, two of the band members took the chance to catch up with family. Police whisked John Lennon away to Levin to meet his second cousins, while Ringo Starr met a group of Starkeys

  1. Kia ora Rikki-Lee,

Thanks for finding these interesting facts about The Beatles Tour to New Zealand. I didn't know that some of the band members had family in New Zealand. Imagine having someone famous like Ed Sheeran being your cousin! That would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?

It would be great if you could use your own words for activities like these. We often do a lot more learning when we change what we've read into our own words. Summarising something into your own words is an important skill to have that I know you already have this skill. You can do it. :)

I can't wait to read how you will summarise these three interesting facts!

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
