You have done a good job with this letter. I really like how you have made the letter look like parchment. The ink splatters are really cool! I wonder if the original settlers use paper like this. Do you think you would be able to find an answer to that question?
I like what you said about worrying that the waka would fall over. I would be worried about that too because I'm not very good at swimming! Remember to use full stops in your writing. They will help your reader make sense of what you have to say.
Have you ever been on a boat yourself? I have been on boats a few times but I always have to get off quickly because I get sea sick easily!

How funny! I'm sure your cousin wouldn't have pushed you off! What sort of boat was it? I have been in a kayak quite a lot and sometimes I catch the ferry in Auckland but I haven't been on any other sorts of boats.
