Week 2 (Offering, a helping hand) Activity 7

Offering a helping hand
magine that you were alive in the 1930s. What could you have done to help these families? On your blog, list three different ways that you could raise funds for families to help them buy food and clothing. Be as creative as you can with your fundraising ideas!

1. I would try busking on busy streets and giving it to poor families.

2.Find some of my old clothing and sell it to earn money for new cloths for them.

3.Go fishing or hunting to find food to sell and give to family's who can't do so.

  1. Hi Rikki-Lee

You have come up with some great ideas for raising money for those families in need. You too probably wouldn't have a lot of money so it's great that you have thought of some way to do this without you having to spend money.
Busking on the street to entertain people would be good. What sort of thing would you do? Singing, Playing an instrument, dancing?
Selling your old clothes is another good idea and people would be really grateful to have some new to wear.
Even if you didn't sell the food that your caught, just giving it to families who didn't have anything to eat would be awesome! I really like to eat fresh fish and I am sure that they would too.

Well done I like that you were thinking about what things would work at this time and are different from modern times.

Good work Rikki-Lee you are doing a great job.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
