Reading this poem makes me feel proud of being a New Zealander and knowing how many people fought for our country what we have now without all the soldiers fighting for us we wouldn't have what we have today. That's why I like In flanders field this how it makes me feel.

I also like how you have explained why this poem makes you feel proud. I felt the same thing once I had read the poem. We are lucky to have had so many brave soldiers fight for our freedom.
I wonder what it would have been like being part of a war. What do you think it was like for the soldiers in the war? How do you think they felt?
